"F" is for Fox Costume

Sew: fox costume

Make your own fox mask and zip hooded sweatshirt with ears for a fun fox costume.

My nephew recently had a birthday and happens to love the Ylvis song "What does the fox say?"
So I made him a fox costume with a mask and hooded sweatshirt:

DIY Tic Tac Toe Game

Build: diy tic tac toe game box

We are quickly approaching Christmas but there's definitely still time to build a few last minute gifts.
Ana White and I are bringing you another gift build plan today that's sure to please anyone on your list.

Today it's this super fun and functional diy tic tac toe game with it's very own storage box:

"C" is for Christmas Journal

Craft: diy Christmas journal

Today I'm sharing this easy last minute gift idea over at Pretty Handy Girl.
It's a kids composition book covered with brown kraft paper and red and white duck tape.  Then I added a Christmas 2013 label and a velvety red pencil with jingle bells.

This journal makes the perfect place to list gifts received for thank you cards, record all the exciting events surrounding the holiday, write about travels during the school break and on and on.

All wrapped up it makes a great gift for kids who love to write and draw.

See the full tutorial over at Pretty Handy Girl, there's still time to make this easy, useful gift any child will love.

We still have eight building days left before Christmas and Ana White and I have come up with a few fast last minute gift builds.

This set is made up of 100 building blocks!
And you don't even need paint for all those glorious colors - I used gel food coloring on the blocks which makes this gift safe for toddlers who tend to stick everything in their mouths:

Build: diy manger

It's Friday and I'm back again with new gift build plans from Ana White.
Today we're sharing a diy manger:

Ana made the plans super simple you can build it start to finish in about an hour.
And even better it only costs about $3 in lumber!!
I used almost two cedar fence planks to construct this manger which kept the materials cost very inexpensive.
