DIY Modular Dollhouse & Furniture

Happy Friday friends, only 7 more Fridays until the big day!  That gives you plenty of time to build our latest Handbuilt Holiday gift plan: the modular dollhouse.  Ana White has the plans for this extremely versatile and amazingly simple dollhouse we're sharing today.

If you are new here welcome to week 5 of this year's Handbuilt Holiday series, you can see the previous 4 builds here plus 24 more from the past 2 years.

But today is all about this truly awesome dollhouse:

Modular to the max!  Above are 3 combinations I put together using all the same pieces and when my girls came home from school they rearranged it again into something I never thought of.

Honestly this dollhouse will provoke those kids imaginations like you never thought before.

DIY Sliding Mirror

Friends I'm over at Pretty Handy Girl sharing how to build and install a sliding mirror.

This mirror solves my problem with NO wall space and NO back of the door option in a small walk in closet so the solution is a sliding mirror!  Check out all the details on Brittany's blog here.

Locker Style Mudroom: Locker Cubbies

As promised last week, I'm back sharing the locker style mudroom build and today it's the top portion of locker cubbies.

To refresh your memory I am referring to this DIY locker and bench unit I built for a friend back in July 2012.  After a bazillion requests I've finally made plans to share with my readers so you can build it yourself.

Last week I shared the shoe cubby bench plans here and this week we will complete the project with the locker cubbies.

This lemonade cart is the 3rd build in the 2015 series.  Last week we shared the changing screen with mirrors and the week before was this stuffed animal zoo:

Locker Style Mudroom: Shoe Cubbies

* Edited 1/20/2017 to make changes as per comments. *

diy locker style mudroom shoe cubbies

Free plans today friends for this large five cubby locker style mudroom.  I built this piece over 3 years ago back in July 2012 and posted it here but I've had so many requests to create proper plans that I finally decided to do it.

Yikes that's an old cringe worthy picture but still a great project so I'm reposting.  This is my friend's house and she has four kids and no mudroom so we created one with this extremely user friendly locker cubby system.

This build is actually two pieces: shoe cubbies on the bottom which also serve as a bench and locker style cubbies up top with shelf storage.  Today I am sharing the plans for the shoe cubbies only.

It's Friday and time for another Handbuilt Holiday project!  Today Ana White and I are sharing a gift you can build that's truly useful and beautiful at the same time, a changing screen with mirrors.

The changing screen is the second build for this year's Handbuilt Holiday series, last week we shared the stuffed animal zoo project here:

And surprise!
This changing screen has mirrors on the backside, a bonus feature than anyone is sure to love!

DIY Spider Stool

I shared this DIY spider stool over at Pretty Handy Girl last week.  The plans with step by step instructions are here.

It's a fairly simple project that adds just a little Halloween theme to your decor.  It could easily be a ladybug or another insect too!
